FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

REFUND POLICY:

Camp payments minus the non-refundable deposit, are refundable until two weeks prior to the start of camp and will only be provided in the form of a check. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or withdrawals within two weeks of camps will only be considered if accompanied by a signed physician’s note indicating that the player is unable to participate for medical reasons. This refund will only be provided in the form of a check minus the non-refundable deposit.

Please Note: All approved refunds will incur a 25% administration fee which will be deducted from your refund amount.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

On the first day, please arrive at least 30 minutes early to check in. Remember, you will be required to check in for each camp. Camps will start promptly at the posted times; so if you want to warm up prior, please arrive early enough to allow yourself time to do so. Volleyballs will be available.

WHEN SHOULD I REGISTER AND HOW DO I KNOW IF SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE?

Registrations are processed on a first come, first serve basis. We do have a limit on the number of participants we can accommodate for each camp so it is recommended that you register as soon as possible. This website will be updated to reflect a sold out status for any camp.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-UP REGISTRATIONS?

We do; however, we do have a limit on how many campers we can accept in each camp. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you register in advance to insure that space is available in the camp you wish to attend.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REGISTER AND HOW DO I KNOW THAT I AM CONFIRMED FOR CAMP?

Once we have received your registration and deposit you will be sent a confirmation
email to the email address you entered with your registration with important camp information and a receipt of your purchase.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CAMP?

  • Athletic Attire (Shorts, T-Shirts) - May Want To Bring a Couple of T-Shirts per Day
  • Indoor Court Shoes (No Boots or Any Black Sole Shoes That Will Mark Up Our Floors)
  • Kneepads
  • No Jean Shorts
  • No Inappropriate T-Shirts (Ex: Midriffs, Spaghetti Straps, T-Shirts with Graphics)

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO DAY CAMP?

  • Water Bottle
  • Snacks as Needed / Wanted
  • Extra Shirts

ARE PARENTS ALLOWED TO WATCH CAMP?

Yes, the camp is open at all times for family and friends to watch.

ARE MEALS INCLUDED IN CAMP COST?

Yes. All meals will be provided for campers except for our High School Team Play Date and Serving Camps.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS SICK OR INJURED DURING CAMP?

  • Samford Bulldog volleyball camps will have a full time certified athletic trainer for all days and sessions of camp. The athletic trainer will appropriately treat the injury and/or illness.
  • Emergency medical contact will be immediately notified with a phone call.

CAN I SEND MY APPLICATION IN BY MAIL?

YES! Specify which camp and print off registration form. Please mail to Samford Bulldog Volleyball Camp, 800 Lakeshore Drive, Pete Hanna Center, Birmingham, AL 35229.

IS THERE A DISCOUNT?

Yes! Immediate family from a Samford employee will receive a 25% discount. Please contact Matt Scott at mscott6@samford.edu.

WHAT IF I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY?

If you have a food allergy, please specify your child’s food allergy in the camp registration section.

PARKING:

Parents, Coaching Staff and Team Bus parking will be located at the top of hill lot across from Pete Hanna (Sorority Village Lot); address is 800 Lakeshore Drive, Birmingham AL, 35229. There will be signage directing you once you pull onto campus.
