This camp is designed for middle school teams that want to learn through training and competing together as a team. The two days of camp will be split up between individual skill training, learning rotations, and a competitive 6v6 drill format. Each team will play a high volume of volleyball alongside appropriate rest and instruction time to learn specific skills, rotations, and strategies implemented by the Samford coaching staff. A highly knowledgeable camp coach will be assigned to each team for the duration of the camp to implement our training systems as well as address each team’s specific needs. Middle school coaches may choose to observe and take some notes or stay involved in their coaching duties. Opportunities for team building will also be provided by the Samford staff throughout the camp highlighted by a highly competitive cheer competition. The camp will conclude with a camp tournament during the final camp session. Come get your team ready for the upcoming fall season!
Please note that this is strictly a COMMUTER camp. No on-campus housing will be provided to any teams. Lunch will be provided to all teams and coaches on day 1 and 2. This camp is open to both 7th and 8th grade teams but will be capped at 14 teams total. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and volleyball to take home at the conclusion of camp. Middle school coaches interested in learning more about this camp or registering their team please contact camp director and assistant coach Ben Sabin at bsabin@samford.edu.
